It's been a couple of weeks since I last did Illustration Friday....
Since I am on vacation, there is no excuse this week.

I haven't posted in a bit, so I thought I add this little thing I whipped up for a Type Battle over at Typophile

The battle is to create a book cover under the folowing parameters: click the link on their site that directs you to a random Wikipedia page, which wil become the title of the book. Then, search the Google-hosted archive of Life magazine photos for your title.

Obviously, mine was "Stack Cake". A lot of the other posts over there are really amazing. And, it was a lot of fun, too.

So this week' Illustration Friday topic is balloon, and here is my submission. Pen and paper scanned into Gimp, where color was added.

Earl underestimated the creepiness of the name of his new repair shop.

Harvey was always home by 5:00 to walk Skippy.
Today, he was late.

Kitty is all packed for vacation!
